The largest feed opening available. 16" (40.6 cm) of internal width and 17" (43.2 cm) of vertical height -- plenty of space to allow sow to comfortably eat and swallow with her mouth in the feeder. No twisting, turning nor tossing of feed.
Our famous cast iron frame is rugged but with a smooth, no snag finish. Sows can rub through stainless steel edges causing abrasions and cuts. Your animals cannot cut themselves on cast iron.
Tapered lip assures complete drainage after cleaning with high-pressure washer. Tuff high molecular, high density, polyethylene body. 12 gauge stainless attachment plates permit feeder to tip out for easy cleaning. Feed is easily accessible to the sow; no accumulation and no spoilage.
