We here at Farm and Ranch Depot manufacture our cattle guards using the highest quality American made steel constructed right here in the USA.   Our engineered cattle guards are built with longevity in mind.  We want our cattle guards to last in this country for as long as we are alive.  This means our beams, rails and welds are able to withstand more weight and elements than any other cattle guard on the market.

Cattle Guards are built and manufactured in many different ways.  Often we see cattle guards manufactured with a formed rail but some cattle guards are built with pre-fabricated tubing or pipe.  Although Farm and Ranch Depot will customize any cattle guard to meet your needs we like to follow the formed rail concept as we believe this adds more strength and durability to the over cattle guard.  The cattle guards we sell come a few different load ratings.  HS20 load rating, which is our most popular cattle guard, is engineered to withstand a 32,000 pound load per axel.  This covers vehicles all the way up to a large semi-truck.  Our HS15 has an axel rating of 24,000 pounds which will cover most vehicles including fire trucks and medium sized semi-trucks.  The HS10 cattle guard has a 16,000 pound axel rating which will handle light trucks, tractors and other light vehicles.  Our HS25 typically used for logging roads can withstand a 43000 pound axel.  The HL93 and the U80 fall somewhere between the HS25 and the HS20.  If you need a cattle guard that can do it all the HS25 is usually the go-to cattle guard.

Our i beams are 18 pound per foot beams which are typically stronger and heavier than other manufactured cattle guards.  We don’t skimp on material quality in an effort to provide the best cattle guards in the industry.  Our rails, beams, and welds meet all ASTM and AWS standards.  We take extreme pride in these well-made cattle guards and we want our customer to take pride in them too.  American steel, American made, American pride, that’s Farm and Ranch Depots cattle guards.
