    I’m gonna mountain it to a old telephone pole do I have to order hardware or does it come with mounting hardware

    The D99 does not come with mounting hardware.
    For mounting to a telephone pole, many users also choose to bolt the unit directly using heavy-duty lag bolts instead of using a bracket.
    For the D99 Cattle Oiler, there are two common OEM mounting bracket options:
    270-01 – Wall Bracket (Standard)
    Basic fixed mounting bracket
    Used to bolt the unit to a wall or post

    270-DSW – Double Spring Wall (Swivel) Bracket
    Upgraded swivel-style bracket
    Allows the unit to move slightly when cattle apply pressure
    Helps reduce stress on mounting bolts and the frame
    Better suited for heavy use or high-traffic situations

    Both are optional add-ons and are not included with the unit.

    Will this still work if I fill it with coconut oil?

    If you're considering coconut oil for its natural properties—like moisturizing or mild pest deterrence—it might work in small-scale or experimental setups. But for consistent flow and proper grooming function, it's best to use oils specifically recommended for cattle oilers. You could also try blending coconut oil with a lighter carrier oil to improve flow but always test in a small batch first to avoid clogging the system.
