Heaters & De-Icers

Livestock water tank heaters (often called tank de-icers) work by using a heating element—made of stainless steel or cast aluminum—to gently warm the water in your stock tank and prevent it from freezing during cold weather. 

The heating element is designed to transfer warmth directly into the surrounding water:

Submersible heaters sit completely under water; the metal housing conducts heat evenly.

Floating heaters rest on the surface and create gentle convection currents that circulate warmth downward.

Sinking or immersion heaters sit on the bottom and warm from below, keeping cords out of reach of animals.

The heat spreads naturally through the water, preventing ice from forming.
